Quite a lot has been going on. Just as well because actually we planned on moving in tomorrow. This won't be possible though as you will see in the pictures.

What a Rock

 After we decided to the landscaping ourselves, we went looking for other significant pieces of decoration. When we found this rock we immediately fell in love with it.

Two days later we had the granite rock delivered to the site.

Because the crane was too small, a larger one was called for.

Then, they were ready to go.

With 3600 kgs it is quite a rock.

The next ocstacle was the power lines which wer etoo low.

But that's no problem for an agile Thai.

Making sure it faces the correct way.

Blessing of the Spirits and Ancestors

We bought two houses in teakwood, one for the spirits and one for the ancestors. And for these houses we had a platform made. 

 The spirit house is ready to be installed

Shopping for fres items like flowers and food at 5 a.m.

the Head Brahman of Sukhothai province is leading through the ceremony

we are putting the figurines in place

the big bang is accompanied by the sound of conch shell played by the Head Brahman, to signal the end of the ceremony

we are throwing popcorn over both of the houses

and everybody is blessed

the construction workers as well, of course

the Buddhas are shown around the house to shouse to prepare them for things to come

and we end with a delicious meal at a lovely outdoor restaurant in the neighbourhood
